1961 Sunbeam Rapier

Original car on original number.
This car was laid up and stored for a few years before then being purchased by 10/10ths – Nick Mason of Pink Floyd cars for Film Company. The car then went on to appear in a number of made for TV movies including the life of Princess Margaret.
Purchased by a participant of the 2007 Peking to Paris Rally and used purely as a promotions and practice car.
In the current owners hands for five years. The car has been restored under the bonnet and lower half back to original. All sills (inner and outer replaced and have been strengthened for potential rally use) and small patches of wings and arches renewed with new metal. Front valance restored with new metal. Paint as original, bumpers and side grills re-chromed.
1725cc engine – which is nice and strong running on twin Solex's as original 1961 -3 spec – the carbs have been overhauled. Overdrive. Brakes recentley refurbed. Wheels and tyres all in very good condition. Trim is excellent. New Laminated Windscreen and seal.
Currently taxed and valid MOT until next spring.
